LAHORE: A
clash erupted between two student groups in the
University of Punjab on Friday.
It was reported that the fight took place over male and female students sitting together.
Both groups started hurling stones at each other near hostel number 3 and 4.The canteen and marketplace of the institute
have been shutdown following the
clash.
The 6 injured students were transferred to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. A large number of police troops were called on the spot along with the university
administration.
The situation was brought under control by shelling the area of incidence.
