The two member bench presiding in the courtroom comprises of Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb. As the hearing proceeded, Justice Farooq allowed the defense to make their arguments regarding the transfer of the Al-Aziza and Flagship references.
Nawaz’s counsel Khawaja Haris argued that the cases should be transferred because the Avenfield verdict has shown the kind of legal reasoning the Judge Mohammed Bashir is an advocate of and that these cases require more scrutiny.

Haris also informed the court that Panama JIT’s Wajis Zia’s cross examination is currently ongoing with regard to the Al Aziza flagship references.
